Transforming a clinic’s culture can be a challenging process, especially when it comes to employee morale and engagement. Planned PEThood of Georgia found itself facing these challenges head-on as they worked to balance the well-being of their staff with their mission of providing compassionate care to pets and their owners. Planned PEThood of Georgia works to accomplish its mission to “Help pets and the people who care for them by providing innovative programs and affordable services that save lives.” Though highly motivated by the purpose, employees were held back by issues with communication, leadership, and cliques.

How do you transform a veterinary clinic’s culture while improving patient care?

Culture isn’t just a set of values on paper—it’s how people feel and behave every day. Planned PEThood of Georgia’s staff were passionate about their mission, but they faced obstacles that were impacting morale and overall effectiveness.

The Amazing Workplace Platform helped the clinic’s leadership better understand these challenges through detailed feedback and precise recommendations. Unlike other platforms that focus on satisfaction or surface-level metrics, Amazing Workplace’s emphasis on genuine employee happiness provided the leadership team with a clear direction for change.

“I have participated in many employee ‘satisfaction’ surveys over my career and have always found them very tedious.  Typically – in part, I suppose due to the formality most of them have – people spend more time trying to figure out what the questions really mean, instead of simply answering from the heart.  To me…I’ve never found them to be accurate, and then the results are usually WAY too easy to write off, make excuses for poor results, etc.  Which makes them pointless overall.

I have found that NOT to be the case with Amazing Workplace and I’m SO APPRECIATIVE.  The survey is written in a straightforward way which helps to eliminate the “what are they really asking” questions from staff.  And allows the team to answer honestly regarding HOW THEY FEEL.  The design is brilliant in its simplicity, again, making it easy for people to share their feelings without wondering if they’ll be judged for their thoughts.

I SINCERELY appreciate AWP walking me through the comments and the results, because my optics are a bit ‘too close’ and he is helping me read and interpret the results as ORGANIZATIONAL results and not [personal] results…which can be hard to do – for me, at least.  Looking at the feedback more objectively has given me the ability to start putting the plan together and actually acting on some of their concerns.  I have also seen that the survey is able to uncover specific pain points – many of the concerns brought forth by our team via the survey are spot on…some I didn’t even realize the team was aware of.  Now I know they certainly are…

I am now going through the process of building my action plan via the dashboard which is so much fun to use.  I appreciate the tips and suggestions already built into the system and look forward to completing the action plan and then acting on it 😉.
